EARLY CAREER NETWORK (ECN)

After the successful introduction of a virtual network meeting for early career researchers and clinicians at the last annual ESMAC meeting, we are excited to announce that a group of enthusiasts is rolling out the initiative to create the ESMAC “Early Career Network” (ECN). The ECN aims to include those pursuing an academic career who are in their last year of PhD until securing a permanent position.

During the upcoming ESMAC conference, we will organize a kick-off event. This will be followed by virtual network meetings throughout the year, centered around a relevant topic for early career researchers. The goal of the ECN is to support, unite and inspire early career researchers and provide a platform to foster new collaborations between the next generation. In addition, we aim to involve those who are interested in the ESMAC society and conferences, for instance by being mentored while chairing a session or reviewing abstracts. But first, we hope to see you at the ESMAC kick-off event!

To register for the ECN kick-off event in the online registration form:

• find the Early Carreer Network (ECN) within the Social programme extras (EUR 0) – if you are registering for the main conference
• choose ECN registration as a main fee (EUR 0) – if you do not register for any of the main functions

The Early Career Network (ECN) kick-off event will be held on Wednesday, 21 September in 19:30 – 21:30

Free admission. This event is only intended for MSc/PhD students and post docs
